How Government Funding Works
The Fun Factory Nursery offers ‘Stretched Funding’: Government funding covers 38 term-time weeks, because the nursery operates all year, funding is stretched across the full year:
· 15 Free Hours = 11.4 hours per week
· 30 Free Hours = 22.8 hours per week
Additional Hours:
Hours used beyond your stretched weekly entitlement are billed at our standard rate.
Reconfirmation:
You must reconfirm your eligibility via gov.uk/childcare-choices every 3 months or when prompted.
Monthly Average Calculation: Fees are calculated as an annual total averaged across 12 monthly payments. Scheduled nursery closures, such as Bank Holidays and Christmas closure, are already factored into this monthly average, meaning your monthly rate remains the same throughout the year.
Full-Day Bookings: We offer 10-hour full-day sessions only, from 8:00am to 6:00pm. There is no limit on how many days you can book.
Bank Holidays & Christmas Closure: The nursery is closed on all Bank Holidays and during the Christmas period. (Please see terms and conditions for full closure details).
Absences: No refunds, discounts, or swap days are provided for sickness or holidays.
Government funding covers eligible funded childcare hours only. The funding does not cover additional items such as meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks), or additional childcare hours beyond the funded entitlement. The Fun Factory Nursery adds a food charge of £10.00 per day for all food consumed during a funded only session, this charge is non-mandatory and is not a condition of accessing a funded place. *
